Day 2 of Gratitude
January 2023: It was the ending of the time I thought I had allotted with the Lord to continue full time under 313. I stepped away from Corporate America a few months prior and the money I had in savings would soon come to an end. I knew that at the end of January I would likely need to search for other jobs because I was yet to be fully funded. The last day of January I received a call from a ministry I partner with, Unusual Soldiers, about praying through a 3-week mission trip in April.
“How would that look if I returned to work full time?” I asked the Lord. I felt him nudged me through prayer to say yes to missions and no to looking for jobs with pay at this time. As I said yes to missions my summer soon exploded with opportunities to serve him overseas in places I had not been before.
I was in different countries March - July with the Lord paving the way to share His name, witness His healing power and miracles, and connect with people around the world that I hope will last throughout the years. I returned home in the month of August and began to look/interview for jobs. As I continue to do, it seems the Lord continues to close doors.
The 3 months that I had planned turned into 13 months and counting. The Lord has sustained them all. I have yet to miss a meal and he continues to provide financially in ways that are supernatural. There have been many things unexplainable, yet I know it is the grace of God. I have had many friends, as well as strangers, come alongside me in this journey that I know were sent from God.
‘Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God’ Philippians 4:6. The journey remains with gratitude. It is a posture of our heart that God so desires to capture. When I have been anxious about finances or how I am going to pay my next months’ rent/car payments? I cling to hope in the Lord.
